We hate talking about all that legal stuff just as much as you hate reading it.  In fact, what we have found is that the majority of our customers are completely scrupulous about obeying the copyright laws.  And we don't mean to offend our law-abiding customers in any way.  This info is more for newcomers and people who may be ignorant to copyright laws.

     FACTS:

* You cannot use copyrighted images without permission.  Period.

*WHAT IS A COPYRIGHT - the exclusive right to make, distribute, copy, display or publish a photograph.

* WHEN ARE PHOTOGRAPHS COPYRIGHTED - as soon as they are created by the photographer.

* WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO A PHOTOGRAPH - The photographer.

* WHAT IS COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT - Legally, the person who holds the copyright to a photo and has the absolute control as to how to use the photo, including denial of use in any way.  Any unauthorized use is an 'infringement' of the copyright.

     COMP PHOTOS

Even though many of the photos on this website have wording telling you not to copy the picture, you may download these thumbnails to use for personal use.  You can also use our images to 'TRY OUT in your layouts or first draft of proposals.  This is called a 'COMPED  IMAGE' or comprehensive rendering..

If you would like a higher quality download of any specific photo, you can contact us on the CONTACT US page.  Tell us which file you'd like a comp copy of.

* All images on this website are owned by Lakeside Photography.

* Lakeside Photography retains rights not expressly granted by the agreement.

* Lakeside Photography grants you, the individual user, the non-exclusive and non-transferable right to copy a specific image onto 1 computer for one user at a time.

* You agree not to use the image in any way that could be considered defamatory, pornographic, libelous, immoral or fraudulent in any way.

     ROYALTY FREE PHOTOS

The majority of photos on this website are Royalty-Fee Images.  Once you purchase a Royalty-Free Stock Image, you can use it as many times as you want, as many ways as you want.
